Hello readers, villagers and coop enthusiasts! While writing this, Berlin is enjoying its final weeks of summer, and as we all aim to leave our desks and computers and jump into the weekend, we’re reaching out to you with just a brief and compact dispatch.
021: Join our first Berlin coop meetup
01: Join our first coop Meetup in Berlin!
We often get emails from people wo are interested in our cooperative structure. Honestly, we could spend all our days in zoom meetings, and we’d love to connect to each and everyone, but we also want to focus on our project work. That’s why we decided to come up with a real-life gathering! Together with our friends from GenoDigital, we will be hosting the first Berlin coop meetup on September 21, 5 – 7pm, at Smart eG in Berlin Kreuzberg. Come around if you’re in Berlin and interested in meeting us, getting some input on cooperative structures + ideas, and making new connections and friends along the way. Sign up via Eventbrite (it’s free!). We’re looking forward to seeing you there.
02: Assembling an Assembly Guide with DemocracyNext
Our partnership with the political research and action institute DemocracyNext has been going on for quite a while already (as we relaunched their website in June), and this week, the team launched something new: The ultimate Assembly Guide for citizens’ assemblies. We joined the DemNext team to design and build this digital guide.
When we read about citizens’ assemblies as a democratic tool, we got super excited, and learned a lot of new stuff along the way. Especially if you’re a policy and/or democracy maker, check it out—the guide is packed with resources and case studies. Have a look!
03: New partnership with the Sovereign Tech Fund
Summer has been packed and busy with projects. One of our newest partnerships is currently forming with the Sovereign Tech Fund—and we’re more than excited about this! The STF has set its goal to strengthen our digital infrastructures, investing in tools and platforms that are the foundation of our digital ecosystem and everyday life. We’re teaming up with the STF team to move their brand, website and digital outlets to the next level. For now, you can check out their website in its current state—but we’ll relaunch it soon!
So far, so good. We’re looking forward to sharing more project updates soon—a lot has happened within the last months. If you have an interesting project or idea where you could use some help regarding strategy, design, frontend and backend development: Send us an email—we’re curious!
