007: Join our design team!
Hello readers!
the application window for this job posting has closed and we’re looking at applications now. Apologies if you’re stumbling upon this page now
When we set up Village One, we really put a lot of thought into what we want our work environment to be like, and what we want to do differently. Nothing puts those ideas to the test more than writing a job posting: what do we really have to offer? Who do we want to add to the team? What will it be like to join us?
Right now, we’re four people: Harry and Fei doing development, Doro for the UX perspective, and me doing all things design. Now we’re looking to extend our design team! If you’re a digital product designer with a focus on design systems, maybe we’re a match?
As we were pondering over the (admittedly long!) text, we realized it’s quite a special offer: This job is all-remote with worldwide employment in our democratic workplace, with full internal transparency, flexible working time across a four-day work week, async communications, with lovely clients bringing purposeful projects. All levels welcome, salary range is mentioned in the job posting, and best of all: there’s the possibility to join a truly democratic, worker-owned cooperative. Where else could you become an equal company owner for 100 bucks?!
Sounds interesting to you? Apply by Jan. 12th, and/or forward it to a friend you think might be a good fit. We’d appreciate it! 💌
Other goings-on about town: On Friday, Harry will talk about our coop at The Friday Club in Dortmund. And in our digital garden, we recently published our first case study! We helped our friends from Neue Narrative, a German publishing house with a new perspective on work and economics, to relaunch their digital brand and website. We designed a big modular system that’s pretty sturdy and can be plugged together to their liking and needs. Read the case study here!
Have a cozy start into the weekend, and speak soon –
